Do I need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist?

No! As a recognised first contact practitioner in Australia Physiotherapists can diagnose, assess and treat injuries without any referral. A Physiotherapist can also refer for imaging if needed! However, your Physiotherapist will normally work with your Doctor so that you can receive the best possible care. If your problem is covered by  WorkCover, DVA, EPC or CTP (after a motor vechicle accident), you will require a GP referral and appropriate proof of liability.

Do you bulk bill EPC referrals?

If you have a concession card then yes we bulk bill.  We just require your doctor to write 'please bb' on your referral. Otherwise, it will be a $20 gap fee.

How much will it cost?

Physiotherapy appointments are covered under private health care insurance and sometimes is partially covered by Medicare when referred by your G.P with the appropriate paperwork. To find out the value of an appointment, or to book in to see a physiotherapist, please phone our reception staff.
